KNEE, FOOT & ANKLE

Understand each step.
Improve lower-limb function.

Knee pain on stairs, heel discomfort when walking or recurring ankle sprains? We assess hip, knee and ankle coordination, gait, balance and load to guide treatment and functional training.

01 / YOUR EXPERIENCE

Start with what you want to improve.

  • Knee discomfort with walking, squatting or stairs.
  • Heel, sole or ankle soreness after activity.
  • Instability after a sprain or recurring ankle sprains.

We first understand your situation and goals, then recommend appropriate assessment, treatment or referral.

Knee, Foot & Ankle Services

Following individual assessment, we can offer treatment, exercise or rehabilitation support for:

Meniscus Tears & Postoperative Rehabilitation

Mobility, strength and functional training for conservative care or after meniscus repair or partial meniscectomy, following medical advice. Weight-bearing and bending restrictions differ between procedures.

ACL Injury & Reconstruction Rehabilitation

Progressively restoring knee mobility, quadriceps and hamstring strength, neuromuscular control and balance before running, jumping and changes of direction.

Patellofemoral Pain, Patellar Tendon Problems & Knee Osteoarthritis

Support for runner's knee, jumper's knee and degenerative knee pain, reviewing lower-limb loading and hip and leg control.

Ankle Sprains, Chronic Ankle Instability & Plantar Fascia Pain

We also assess Achilles-related discomfort and functional concerns associated with flat feet, using ankle strength, proprioception, gait and balance training.

02 / ASSESSMENT

Beyond the pain point: how the whole leg bears load.

Leg shape, arches and pelvic control can influence movement, but appearance alone does not establish a problem. We observe activity and symptoms to identify useful areas for improvement.

Alignment & Mobility

Reviewing leg shape, arches and hip, knee and ankle movement alongside history and injury.

Strength & Muscle Coordination

Assessing hip, thigh, calf and foot strength and control.

Gait & Functional Movement

Observing weight transfer and loading during walking, squatting, stairs and relevant sport.

Ankle Stability & Balance

Exploring single-leg loading, balance and confidence after injury.

03 / YOUR PLAN

A clear purpose for treatment and practice.

Address Current Symptoms

Treatment, relaxation and activity adjustments matched to assessment and recovery stage.

Build Strength & Stability

Progressively training hip, leg, calf and foot muscles, increasing loading and control demands.

Gait & Functional Training

Walking, steps, single-leg control and sport-related practice to restore load capacity.

Angles, support, resistance, repetitions and tempo are adjusted to ability and response. Images are illustrative; specific exercises follow assessment.

04 / PROGRESS

Bring progress into everyday life.

Reviewing walking distance, stairs, single-leg control and responses after exercise, rather than static leg shape alone.

Record consistently. Review regularly.

We record treatment, exercises, responses and challenges, using reassessment and team case discussion to guide ongoing adjustments.

05 / QUESTIONS

Questions you may have.

Do knock knees, bow legs or flat feet always need correction?

Not necessarily. Age, structure, symptoms and function matter. Training aims to improve capacity and loading, not guarantee changes to bone shape.

Can I return to sport once my ankle stops hurting?

We also assess range, strength, balance and sport-specific demands before discussing progression.

Do you only treat the sole for plantar fasciitis?

We consider ankle mobility, calf condition, leg strength and walking load to select suitable care.
